The Chicago Ridge Emergency Management is now hiring volunteer Officers. Requirements are as follows:
* 21 Years of Age (Exception below)
* IF AN APPLICANT IS UNDER 21 YEARS OF AGE HE OR SHE MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS: Applicant will be between 18 years of age and 21 and enrolled in college. An applicant will also be considered if he or she is in an active EMA/ESDA unit, police cadet program, or fire cadet program.
* Must have a valid Illinois Drivers License.
* Must be available to respond to emergency call outs 24 hours a day.
* Must be able to dedicate a minimum of 10 hours per month.
* Must be available to attend one monthly meeting on the 1st Sunday of every month at 9:00 A.M.
* Must be available to attend scheduled duties and events.
* Must pass an oral interview, criminal background investigation, and driver license check.
